The Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana was launched by Governor Anandiben Patel to help orphaned children affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The scheme offers a monthly stipend of Rs4,000 to eligible children. The program also offers educational help and assistance in marriage for orphaned girls. As a part of the program, the UP government is transferring three-month installments of Rs12,000 to the bank accounts of beneficiaries.
The Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana is available for both urban and rural areas. It requires a visit to the office of the village development officer or the Block/ District Probation Officer to apply. The application process is easy, and the state government has already transferred three months’ installments to the recipients’ bank accounts. In order to qualify for the scheme, an individual must have a family income of at least Rs20,000.
Besides addressing the needs of the children, the Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana also helps the government meet its goals by providing them with higher education. Its goal is to give each child with a higher chance of surviving in society. The Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana aims to eradicate poverty and stigma surrounding the poor.

Eligibility for Chief Minister Child Service Scheme
- The applicant should be permanent residents in Uttar Pradesh.
- Children who lost both parents because of COVID-19.
- Kids who are unable to find a legal guardianship because of corona virus infections are eligible under this program.
- Children who lost their income-producing parent due because of COVID-19.
- Children with only one parent who survived and passed away because of corona virus.
- The child’s age must be 18 years old or less than 18 years.
- The children of any familial unit (biologically as well as legally adopted) are eligible to take advantage of this program.
- Presently, the earnings of the mother or father must be less than Rs 200000, or lower than 200000.

- Death evidence from 2019
- The application must be made in advance and include the latest photo of the child and their guardianship

Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana – Guidelines
- The Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana was initiated by UP Government with an aim to ensure the future of children who have lost parents to Coronavirus.
- With this plan, educational facilities will be offered to students of the Kendriya Vidyalaya through the state government.
- In addition an annual financial aid of 2.5 thousand rupees 2.5 thousand will be given until children reach 18 years.
- To provide aid Central Government to open a savings account for children.
- In addition the regular account deposits for children living within Bal Seva Sansthan will be created.
- 1500 to be deposited until when the person reaches 18.
- Additionally the annual aid of 12000 rupees will be given by the government to cover additional expenses incurred by the children.
- Girls will also get education for free in Kasturba Gandhi Bal Vidyalaya.
- In addition, there is a sum of Rs 51000 will be put in an account for the daughter and along with interest will be also paid upon marriage.
- The children who are beneficiaries under this scheme will receive health insurance through the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
- The premium amount for insurance up to 18 will be paid by the government via PM Cares.
- In addition, there is each month, financial aid is provided during the higher education period for 5 years beginning at 18 years. Also, the lump sum of the PM Cares Fund of Rs 10 lakh to children at the age of the age of 23 for commercial and personal use.
How to apply for the Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana?
- If you live in rural area then you have to go to the office of Village Development/Panchayat Officer/Block/District Probation Officer and if you live in urban area you have to go to the office of Lekhpal/Tehsil/District Probation Officer.

- Once the children are identified as eligible through The District Child Protection Unit and Child Welfare Committee, the application procedure will be complete after 15 days.
