Introduction: What is Mukhya Mantri Chrianjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana?

Mukhyamantri Chrianjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana is a plan that was announced in the name of Chief Minister Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot. The program provides affordable health insurance for the economically weaker segments of society.

In this scheme, qualified candidates will be able to receive health insurance worth five lakhs. The insurance policy covers nearly 1576 medical treatments and expenses.

The applicants must pay a small amount of Rs 850 as a premium in the Chiranjeevi Yojana and get the finest treatment at affiliated hospitals, both government and private.

The health insurance started on 1^st May 2021.

Objectives of Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana?

• To provide health insurance to families that fall under BPL, SECC and NFS category
• Small-scale farmers and contractors
• The beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Rajasthan Swasthya Bima Yojana are also covered
• Families who aren’t able to meet criteria for eligibility can be insured by paying a small cost of Rs850 per year
• The plan covers serious illnesses COVID-19 treatment costs.

Who can apply for the Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana?

The following categories of people are can apply for the Chrinajeevi Swathya Bima Yojana

• Families eligible under the Food security Act
• Families falling under the Socio Economic Census of 2011
• Contractual worker in the Government Departments, Boards, Corporations
• Small Marginal Farmers
• Families who have received aid under Covid-19 Ex gratia

All the above categories of Families come under the Free category and are eligible for this scheme.

People who don’t come under the above free category and are not Government employees or pensioners and not availing any medical benefits under Medical Attendance rules can avail the benefits of the scheme by paying 50% of the insurance amount which is Rs 850 per year and the remaining 50% cost would be put forward by the State Government.

How to apply for the Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana?

In order to avail the benefits the beneficiary has to register themselves on the Govt Portal, the detailed process is explained below:

• Registration under the Free Category
• Eligible families under Food security act and Socio Economic Census 2011 are already identified so they don’t apply specifically for this scheme as they are already considered.
• Other beneficiaries under the free category needs to register themselves on the Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana , They can also register by visiting the e-Mitra center.
• For registration Jan Aadhar card/ Aadhar Card are required, OTP will be generated for authenticating the beneficiary on the mobile number on which Aadhaar card is registered
• Contractual employees will be verified online by Nodal officer of the department concerned and updated online.
• Small and Marginal farmers who are not associated with Jan Aadhaar card  will able to land holding ceded to Jan Aadhar card as per procedure laid down and will be register through e-Mitra.
• After registration the beneficiary can print the policy document
• Category falling under Rs850/ per annum per family
• The beneficiaries shall be required to the register Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana portal or visiting e-Mitra center. They will be required to pay the Rs 850 as premium during registration their online or through e-Mitra center
• After successful registration the beneficiary can easily print the policy document

• Aadhaar card is mandatory

How to find the list of empanelled hospitals? 

Beneficiaries need to visit the Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana portal and click on empanelled hospital and it will give the list of hospitals by the district.
