Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) – The Complete Guide.

The Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana is a scheme launched by the Indian government in October 2014 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the birthday of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan. How is Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana implemented?

  • Identification of the Gram Panchayat – Uploading the GP identification letter from Hon ‘MP on the portal after validation from District Collector
  • appointment of Charge officer
  • Entry activities – Social mobilization driven by the MP
  • Setting of working group comprising of district collector and other expert from the village development plan
  • Identifying the local needs, resources, services and other amenities of the GP
  • Formulate a village development plan
  • Approval of the Village Development Plan at both Gram Saba and also at the District Collector level
  • Execution of the projects proposed under VDP by convergence of resources by both Central Government and State Government.
